Worked With Models

Fritz Oehlers is a German photographer based in Hanover

Photographing people has been my main focus for quite a while now. Showing the character, the emotions, and the beauty of men and women regardless of age and origin is my goal.
To achieve it, I decided to go back to analog photography.

The uniqueness of the captured moment, the emotions that only exist within this split-second while the shutter is open can best be captured by a medium that implies the same level uniqueness. There is only one negative, hence one original image, showing the characters.

My goal is to encourage models in order to avoid stereotyped posing, to be emotional, and try to create what I call “raw nude portraits”.
